ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED Laptops Launched in India Starting at ₹45990

Taiwanese tech giant ASUS has once again expanded its Vivobook lineup of laptops, by launching the all-new ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED laptops in India. As the name of the product suggests, the new Vivobook K15 OLED laptops come with OLED panels and offer a great number of choices in terms of the processor, starting from the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i3 to i5 and i5. Apparently, there is a variant with Ryzen 5 5500U as well. ASUS says that the new Vivobook K15 OLED laptops with different colour options, sleek design are made for Gen Z, who care a lot about asthetics

ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED Specifications

The ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED lineup has multiple variants. All variants of ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED sport a 15.6-inch Full HD OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 400 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and TUV Rheinland certification for low blue light levels. There are minimal bezels around the display and the screen-to-body ratio is 85%. As it is an OLED display, users can expect great colours and deep blacks.

The base variant is powered by 11th Gen Corei3 processor (1115G4) coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256G PCIe SSD. There are two models that come with an 11th Gen Intel Corei5 processor, coupled with 8GB or 16GB of RAM with 256GB PCIe SSD and 1TB HDD. All these three variants come in two colour options- Indie Black & Transparent Silver. Then there is the variant with an 11th Gen Intel Corei7 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Finally, there is the sole Ryzen variant of the laptop that is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5 5500U processor, coupled with 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD alongside a 256GB PCIe SSD. The Core i7 and Ryzen 5 variants come only in Indie Black colour. However, there will be a Hearty Gold colour variant as well, but it is not specified yet by ASUS which models this colour variant will be applicable for.

Apart from the differences in processor, RAM and storage, all the laptops are almost identical. All of them offers Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. They also come with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, a 3.5mm audio jack combo and a microSD card reader. These laptops pack a 42Wh lithium-ion battery and run Windows 10 out of the box. However, ASUS has announced users will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 as soon as it releases. These laptops will also come with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019, which will be valid for a lifetime.

Most variants of these laptops also come with a fingerprint scanner, embedded in the top right corner of the sizeable trackpad. Also, ASUS has not bottlenecked these laptops as there are provisions for upgrades. Uses can pop in an extra SSD and HDD, alongside RAM. Also, despite the compact form factor, the new ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED laptops come with a full-sized keyboard. The keyboard is backlit and spill-resistant.

The base variant of ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED with Core i3 processor is priced at ₹46990, but it is now available for a special price of ₹45990. You can buy it from Amazon and Flipkart. The Core i5 variant with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD is priced at ₹65990 while the variant with 16GB RAM is priced at ₹68990 with a special price of ₹66990 during the ongoing sales. However, a Core i5 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD seems to be available on Amazon right now at ₹65990.

The Core i7 variant with 512GB SSD is priced at ₹81990, now available on Amazon. Ther variant with Core i7, 16GB RAM and a whopping 1TB SSD, is also available on Amazon. The Ryzen 5 variant, with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD is priced at ₹62990. However, during the Big Billion Days, it will be available for ₹59990 on Flipkart.
