Just three weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook is working on a ‘Dislike’ Button in facebook Townhall Q&A Session and we already got some hints that they are really working on it, and we have also heard about many theories regarding this feature.
Basically, this is not the ‘Dislike’ button as we thought earlier. This is something which will supercharge Facebook and bring the user experience to a new level, as facebook is working on a set of six reactions long with the current ‘Like’ option- Like, Love, Haha, Yay, Wow, Sad and Angry. So, that makes a set of seven and yes, they are animated. Missed the animations? Check the video above. So, these express a lot ranging from a laugh to angry face, sad mood to cheerful moment, like to love. These new reactions will roll out to Facebook users in Spain and Ireland first, and then they will decide how they will roll out tis feature to their 1.5 billion users around the world. For a very long time, people have been asking for a dislike button so that they can express their true feelings on a single click or tap rather than writing it in the comments or anything. And Facebook has taken this very seriously, as they have added the most expressions that people use globally and those which anyone can understand by looking at the reaction. So, next time you get sad or curse people on facebook, be sure that you will get a bunch of reactions.
Along with this, I think we will find an end to those leisure time games like ‘Balance the number of likes and comments’ and also will get rid from stupid scenarios like ‘One Like=One Prayer”. Till now, we have seen people hungry fro likes, now people will get hungry for Love, Laugh and the Wow reactions as they show pretty positive attitude. And probably, by the end of this year, we will see people using lesser hate speeches and curse on facebook with the introduction of these six reactions.
