2014 is about to end in a few days, its been a tremendous year for the gadgets lovers, lot’s of high-end Smartphones are released to the market this year, most of these smartphones revolutionized the way we use the smartphone now! As it is the end of year, we are going to re-wind all the news/articles/posts that happened this year. On March and September we have two events, MWC 2014 and IFA 2014, these events showcased many mobile launches, we already published which smartphone to choose from these events, but it’s just our opinion on which smartphone you can choose ( as we explained based on the specs and hands-on-experience) but this time, we want the readers to choose the best smartphone of the year 2014, well let’s see the competitors first!
We all know Sony, Samsung, Apple are the major competitors in the smartphone market, but this year we have some other companies that made a great change and gave huge competition to the trio. In case you wanna know the best smartphone of the year 2013, well it’s none other than HTC One, also this year HTC released it’s successor of HTC One , that is HTC M8 , other than this HTC launched HTC One ( M8 Eye) that is upgraded the camera and launched this one in specified countries only.
From LG we have seen many budget smartphones and high-end smartphones. out of these LG G3 and LG/Google Nexus 5 are on the top. From nowhere Motorola showed up and launched around 6 smartphones this year and all are huge hit, they are Moto E ( the best-selling phone from Motorola in budget smartphone segment), Moto G and Moto X. Later in the IFA 2014, Motorola launched the successors, Moto G 2nd Gen and Moto X 2nd Gen. All made a huge impact in terms of competition with other smartphones. The other best Smartphone from Motorola is the much awaited Google Nexus 6 which already gave high competition for Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
From Samsung and Sony we have seen the successors of previous flagship series smartphones. From Samsung ,Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha 4G and so on are released where as from Sony, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z2 and many other budget smartphones are also released.
The most awaited smartphone brothers are launched in this year. They are Apple Bro’s: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the sales of these two smartphones shattered the previous sales record of iPhone 5S. As usual from Nokia ( Microsoft Lumia now), we’ve seen Lumia 830, Lumia 930, Lumia 735 and many other windows phones.
All the above mentioned smartphones are common as these companies launch their smartphones every year, but some other companies came into existence and tried to give a good competition, some even tried to occupy the first place ( calling the Flagship smartphone of the year 2014), They are OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi4, Meizu Mx4 etc.
