Sony teased an image showing something “Slimmer, Lighter, brighter” to be revealed at MWC 2015 event. The teaser image looks like a Xperia Z4 Tablet which was leaked recently. Slimmer. Lighter. Brighter. All will be revealed on 02.03.15. #Xperia #SonyMWC this is what Sony tweeted about its next release.

There isn’t any official confirmation that the next unveiling will be a Xperia Z4 Tablet but from the image it can be confirmed that it will be the next tablet release rather than a flagship phone. A few weeks back Sony confirmed that there won’t be any flagship release at MWC 2015. So this confirms that there will be a Tablet release.

During IFA 2014 event, Sony released Xperia Z3 Tablet compact, but it wasn’t up to the expectations. Not only Tablet, all the Sony smartphones released at IFA 2014 weren’t doing well. High-priced tags + upgraded specs wasn’t really what we expect from Sony. Any how #MWC2015 will be from March 2nd on wards which is just a few days away.

Other than Sony, HTC and Samsung are ahead in releasing teasers on their next release at MWC 2015. Samsung released teasers showing Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge, where as HTC released teasers on HTC One (M9).

Coming to the earlier leak, Sony Xperia Z4 tablet is supposed to carry a 2K display and the design is similar to the earlier release Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact with round metal edges. Other specs weren’t leaked and yet to be known. Anyhow as the Sony officially confirmed the date 02-03-15 for the release, we’re awaiting for the official specs.
